U Mobile signs two-year exclusive contract with 99 Speedmart
Exclusive distribution of prepaid SIM Packs and reloads in over 430 outlets
U MOBILE Sdn Bhd is bringing its products and services closer to consumers through an initial two-year exclusive contract with mini-market chain 99 Speedmart.
The collaboration with 99 Speedmart entails the exclusive distribution of U Mobile prepaid SIM packs and mobile reloads in over 430 outlets within the Klang Valley, the telco said in a statement.
U Mobile chief executive officer Jaffa Sany Ariffin (pic, right) said that by offering its products at 99 Speedmart, his company now addresses a broader range of customers.
“They are part of our target market for the prepaid segment and the availability of U Mobile prepaid products in these outlets will make it convenient for them to stay connected with friends and family,” he said.
The partnership is yet another strategic initiative by the 3G mobile operator to expand its reach to a broader consumer market and provide greater accessibility to its products.
“U Mobile is delighted to partner with 99 Speedmart, which has different sets of shoppers and has strong fundamental key retail measurements that our company can leverage on. We are set to see tremendous growth in our prepaid segment this year,” he added.
The collaboration is another addition to the company’s existing partnerships with other non-traditional distribution channels, including Giant, Singer, 7-Eleven, Cosway, Senheng and senQ stores. The total distribution reach now numbers 22,000 outlets nationwide.
