Schneider Electric appoints Manish Pant as EAJ zone president

- Assumes new east Asia Japan (EAJ) role effective July 1
- Succeeds Tommy Leong who moves into a new role
SCHNEIDER Electric has announced the appointment of Manish Pant (pic) as zone president of east Asia and Japan (EAJ).
In a statement, the company said Manish, who is based in Singapore, will oversee the company’s continued drive to promote smart energy management solutions to help the region’s homes and organisations operate more sustainably and contribute to their country’s climate goals.
This is in addition to his championing technology’s role in transitioning from carbon-intensive energy sources, it said.
Manish succeeds Tommy Leong, who is moving into a new role as senior vice president of global marketing and international operations.
“I am excited to have the opportunity to lead the zone into the next stage of its strategic development. Asia holds huge potential to embrace smart technology and digitally enabled energy systems that are pivotal to enabling a net-zero future” said Pant.
With more than 30 years of experience in electrical distribution in various management roles, Pant joined Schneider Electric in 1998. He has overseen operations for the company in China, Thailand, and India, the company said.
In the past seven years, he has led as the executive vice president for home and distribution division, focused on introducing sustainable energy management innovations to residential and small businesses markets.
