Acronis appoints new head of sales for APAC, emerging markets

- 25 years in the industry, 13 of those years with Microsoft in Asia
ACRONIS has appointed Steve Goh (pic) vice president and general manager of sales for Asia Pacific and Emerging Markets, replacing Jan-Jaap Jager who has moved on to a new role that will be announced later.
In this role, Goh will be responsible for deploying and executing Acronis strategy, sales, and extending its footprint in the regions above, the company said in a statement.
He will focus on restructuring, building, and motivating teams. and driving growth via channel and alliances sales, as well as direct and enterprise sales.
Acronis said it expects 50% of total revenue to come from Asia in the coming years, adding that Goh’s expertise and experience will ensure it sustains that growth momentum.
“I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to be part of an exciting journey to continue the great work and foundation that the leadership team has laid down to position Acronis as the market leader,” Goh said.
He comes with 25 years of experience in the IT industry, holding several senior management positions in sales and marketing, Acronis said, with 13 of those spent with Microsoft.
He was previously based in China, driving partner ecosystem and helping companies to grow in Greater China region. He also held the position of Dean at Microsoft China University.
“Steve’s [Goh] appointment demonstrates our commitment to hiring top-notch talent to support our growth plans in Asia,” said cofounder and chief executive officer Serguei Beloussov.
“His vast experience in identifying opportunities and taking strategic steps to achieve business goals will ensure the company’s success in the coming years,” he added.
