Proton accelerates automotive design with Autodesk
Malaysian automaker Proton Holdings Bhd is using digital prototyping technology from Autodesk Inc to accelerate its automotive design process and create a distinct design identity across its latest car models, the US technology company said.

Autodesk Inc said that Combat Group, a Malaysia-based manufacturer of automotive and industrial paint systems, has improved its design accuracy and delivered products to market quicker as a result of using Autodesk Product Design Suite and other Autodesk digital prototyping tools.

Autodesk Inc has been present in Malaysia for 15 years now, but seems to have gone under the radar. With its Asean operations now fronted by a new Singapore-based regional manager who made his mark in the IT industry in Malaysia, the company is coming out to claim its share of voice in the cloud space, among other sectors.
