AgilityIO and MyBurgerLab founders launch new startup OpsNinja

THE founders of AgilityIO and MyBurgerLab have joined forces to launch a new startup, OpsNinja, which will provide business process outsourcing services for startups and technology companies in Silicon Valley and around the world.

In a statement, Chok Leang Ooi of AgilityIO and Wee Kiat Teoh of MyBurgerLab said the new startup aims to revolutionise the business process outsourcing industry that is “oftentimes disconnected from the needs of their clients due to the lack of experience their teams have in relevant industries.”

OpsNinja will provide the technology and human resources to help startups tackle the high volume of work sorting, compiling, and managing massive amounts of data and communities that are essential to business operations, they said.

“We have come across many high-growth startups in Silicon Valley that are evaluating automation versus a human touch when it comes to their operations,” said Chok.

“With OpsNinja, our mission is to provide the most optimised and cost-efficient solution to meet those operations and workflow challenges – whether or not it’s a technical tool or an actual person giving it an irreplaceable human touch.”

This “human touch” is provided by ‘Ninjas’ – college-educated, passionate and tech-savvy millennials who, due to geographic or time constraints, are otherwise unable to pursue opportunities to gain real-life global experience, OpsNinja said in its statement.

“On the one hand, we are building a business servicing global startups; on the other, we are fulfilling our joint passion in helping to develop the local talent pool, training millennials to think and act like a global startup by learning from best practices in the industry.

“Also, this extra income helps fund their education as well as the beginnings of an independent life away from home,” he added.

AgilityIO develops turnkey digital solutions, as well as web and mobile applications. With a team of more than 150 engineers, designers and consultants, it has worked with more than 70 startups, brands and enterprises across industries and markets.

Founded in 2011, AgilityIO has offices in New York, Danang, Vietnam and Singapore.

Established in July 2012, MyBurgerLab owns and operates two stores in Malaysia, selling hand-ground and hand-packed burger patties with homemade charcoal buns.
