Honor 8X: Pushing the limits in terms of price

HONOR Malaysia has launched its brand-new Honor 8X. The Honor 8X is quite possibly one of the company’s most aggressive plays coming in at just US$228 (RM949).

The Honor 8X features a borderless 6.5-inch HD FullView display that has a 91%  screen-to-body ratio offering an even bigger screen while retaining a pocket friendly size. In addition, Honor claims the device covers 85% of the NTSC colour gamut and supports a split screen mode, with a Unique Eye Comfort Mode Certified by TÜV Rheinland – which equals to a larger screen that reduces eye fatigue.

Apart from that, the Honor 8X comes with a Kirin 710 chipset, which is a 64-bit octa-core mid-range performance mobile chipset. It is complemented with a 12nm Cortex-A73 generation-based SoC and a Mali G51 GPU.

Following in the footsteps of previous Honor models, the Honor 8X also comes with GPU Turbo that was previously only available on Honor flagship devices, along with the EMUI 8.2 system that is claimed to provide better graphic-processing technology while consuming less power.

But that is not all, it comes with a dual-lens array featuring a 20M + 2M, F/1.8 aperture rear camera. It also features AI Camera Technology that recognises 22 different categories and 500 scenarios in real-time, then optimises camera settings and enhances photo quality.

Furthermore, the Honor 8X also features 3D portrait lighting technology that allows users to further beautify photos that already has an accurate ‘bokeh’ effect from the 3D portrait lighting technology. Combined with the 16MP front camera that has an enhanced-ISO with 4 Cell fusion technology and multi-frame image processing, the new device will promise users for covering every aspect of photography.

Early purchasers of the Honor 8X stand to receive additional gifts that are worth up to RM500 in value. The promotional period starts runs from Oct 12 to 14 with both online and offline promotions.
