Samsung Malaysia Electronics appoints new president

- Formerly managing director of Samsung Electronics New Zealand
SAMSUNG Malaysia Electronics has appointed Edward Han (pic) as its new president, who will be responsible for maintaining the brand’s strong reputation in Malaysia, lead business strategies and operations, and further drive business and sales growths.
Prior to this, Han was the managing director of Samsung Electronics New Zealand. He brings with him 20 years experience working with Samsung and is touted to be a core part of the brand’s growth on an international level, the company said in a statement.
“Words cannot truly express my excitement and gratefulness for this new journey I am embarking on. Malaysia is a beautiful country with even more amazing potential for business growth, and I cannot wait to get started on this new chapter of my career with my new colleagues. I look forward to solidifying Samsung’s position as one of the best brands and workplaces in Malaysia,” said Han.
Han began his employment at Samsung in the year 2000. Since then, he has held senior leadership positions in several global markets in the company such as in Romania and India. He was also director at Samsung Headquarters in Korea.
