EdgePoint Infrastructure reaches 1,500 towers milestone in Malaysia

EdgePoint Infrastructure (EdgePoint) marks another milestone with the acquisition of an additional tower portfolio in Peninsular Malaysia, bringing their total sites in Malaysia to 1500. This achievement solidifies the company's position as the second-largest tower company in the country, as stated by the ASEAN-based independent telecommunications infrastructure company.

He emphasised the importance of quality, reliable connectivity to meet evolving digital demands which can only be delivered with innovative infrastructure and solutions and EdgePoint's dedication to enabling a resilient and inclusive digital society.
In its three years in Malaysia, EdgePoint has provided a range of services, including build-to-suit, co-location, and in-building coverage solutions. The company has already constructed approximately 200 sites since its inception and anticipates significant growth in this number in 2024.
As part of EdgePoint’s strategy to enhance connectivity and capacity, they collaborate with businesses across various industries to deploy innovative connectivity infrastructure. In the past year, it has partnered with Sunway Group to upgrade telecommunications infrastructure in various locations, including Sunway Pyramid, Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, and Sunway Medical Centre, as well as with myNEWS Holdings Bhd to enhance coverage and 4G/5G network capacity at myNEWS and CU outlets across the Peninsular.
Since its inception, EdgePoint has expanded its portfolio across Malaysia, the Philippines through EdgePoint Philippines, and Indonesia through its subsidiary, Centratama.
