Pikom, TalentCorp to boost global business services jobs

  • Aims to nurture talent to meet the demands of the digital GBS Industry 
  • Programme structured towards knowledge transfer with GBS communities

In a statement, Pikom’s chairman Sean Seah said the association has always been a strong advocate of talent growth and development, ensuring that its members receive the right talent, with the right skillsets and the agility for change. 

“Our collaboration with TalentCorp will benefit, not just our members, but sectors across industries that are constantly on the lookout for talent.

“This includes bridging job creation for the Digital Global Business Services industry as it moves towards digitalisation,” said Seah.

TalentCorp’s programmes for this collaboration will be structured towards knowledge transfer with the Digital GBS communities, including expatriates working in Malaysia.

Its group chief executive officer Thomas Mathew said through the firm’s strategic collaboration with Pikom, members and industry players will be able to leverage on its national talent mobility initiatives. 

“This is where Malaysians can benefit, and gain from exposure to global experience, business environment, intercultural and business dynamics across the region,” he said.

 Anthony Raja Devadoss, chair of Pikom Academy and GBS Malaysia said the association’s collaboration with TalentCorp will go a long way as their programmes are designed to upskill, reskill, provide on-the-job training via internships and educate talent on adapting to the multi-business cultures today. 

“Our focus on graduate employability in areas such as digital transformation, cloud services, cybersecurity and data analytics pillars will create a future ready workforce.

“This effort augmented by talent development and industry academia collaboration is key to meet the growth demands of the digital GBS Industry in Malaysia,” said Devadoss.
