Maxis, Teladan Setia bring fibre connectivity to Melaka

Maxis, Teladan Setia bring fibre connectivity to MelakaMaxis has entered into an agreement with Teladan Setia Sdn Bhd, a Melaka-based property developer, to bring fibre connectivity to residents to one of its townships in the state. 

In a statement, the telco said the partnership uses Maxis own fibre build to deliver a superior home internet experience to residents as well as its attractive fibre propositions.

As part of the agreement, Maxis will design, supply, install, test and commission the telecommunication infrastructure for fixed services to residents within Taman Bertam Heights, Melaka.

Maxis said it will be connect more than 2,100 homes for the development, with potentially connecting up to another 10,000 premises in Melaka in the future. 

The partnership is also part of its on-going collaborations with property developers in the country in providing high speed broadband and connectivity solutions, Maxis said.

Francis Sia, executive director, Teladan Setia said the company’s strategic collaboration with Maxis is an important step to developing connected homes and townships. 

“Since the pandemic, demand for spacious homes with all-rounded amenities have been on the rise. As people spend more time at home, we want our residences to be ready with the best connectivity solutions,” said Sia.

Meanwhile, Paul McManus, chief enterprise business officer, Maxis said high-speed fibre broadband is changing the way people communicate and access current and future services such as security, banking, entertainment, and many more.

“Through our fibre network, capabilities and attractive home propositions, we are able to open up even more possibilities for these digital services, supported by a great connectivity experience," he said.

Maxis Home Fibre plans offers a range of home Internet needs with speeds up to 800Mbps. Customers can also enjoy a better WiFi experience with the new WiFi 6 router and mesh WiFi, Maxis said.

Additionally, they can choose from a wide range of the latest devices for their entertainment, learning, productivity and gaming needs via Maxis Zerolution, an easy home device ownership programme. 

Home buyers can also subscribe to Maxis Fibre upon vacant possession, the telco said.
