Carlist.my to launch WeChat mini programme

BEING able to respond to technology trends is critical to the success of any company. For iCar Asia Limited and their Malaysian brand, Carlist.my, one such trend has been identified and a new product is being produced. Reaching out to over 20 million Malaysian registered WeChat users, Carlist.my is developing its own mini-programme to run within the app itself.

Users can search for cars, make enquiries directly to car dealers about models for sale from Carlist.my, all without leaving the WeChat app. Carlist.my will also be looking to run special promotions to WeChat users within the mobile social communication app. The mini programme for WeChat will be live towards the end of May 2019.

“Identifying and creating a specific WeChat application comes directly from our vision to connect car buyers and sellers. Being able to act quickly and create this within WeChat means we can stay one step ahead in the highly competitive automotive market and cater to a large segment of car buyers in Malaysia who actively use WeChat every day,” said iCar Asia Limited chief executive officer Hamish Stone.
