Vivo X90 and X90 Pro Are Now Available in Malaysia

Vivo recently launched two models of its flagship smartphones, the X90 and X90 Pro featuring improved processors, updated software, and continued collaboration with Zeiss for its camera and lenses.
The cameras on the X90 devices are said to be co-engineered with Zeiss and are said to be is certified compliance with Zeiss T* coating which improves how light interacts with the lens.
The main camera on the X90 Pro specifically uses Sony’s 50MP, 1-inch, IMX989 sensor that has an f/1.75 lens. On the front side is a Sony 50MP, IMX758 sensor with an f/1.6 lens. Both support optical image stabilisation which translates to better photos and videos compared to the previous model.
On the other hand, the X90 has what the company calls a “50MP VCS True Colour Main Camera, a 12MP Professional Portrait Camera, and a 12MP Wide-Angle Camera”.
Imaging Chip, AI, And Software
Both the X90 and X90 pro are said to be fitted with the V2 imaging chip, an in-house developed AI-powered photo algorithm, and photo-optimising presets and features
To most users, this translates to a better point-and-shoot camera experience, with photos and videos, in low light. Useful for those who like to take pictures of moving objects, indoors, or at night.
Additionally, the X90 Pro has an improved Handheld Astro mode for astrophotography and low-light landscape photography.
There are also effects by Zeiss that simulates lens flair and tilt-shift built-in.
Both the X90 and X90 Pro that are available to the Malaysian market have a MediaTek Dimensity 9200 processor, 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of storage.
The 4.9Ah battery on the X90 Pro and the 4.8Ah battery on the X90 supports 120W Dual-Cell FlashCharge and are certified to be safe. Additionally, the X90 Pro also supports 50W Wireless FlashCharge.
Cooling is provided by what it calls an Ultra Large Vapor Chamber Liquid Cooling System, a passive cooling system.
Display, Audio, And Design
A 6.78-inch AMOLED display is a feature on both X90 and X90 Pro. It has a 120Hz refresh rate, supports HDR 10+, and has some eye comfort technology under the hood.
For sound, both devices have stereo speakers and the X90 Pro has the advantage of rumble support and algorithms that boosts its bass and sound stage.
With a Gorilla Glass front, a vegan leather back, a metal frame and an IP68 rating, the X90 Pro comes in black.
The X90 has a glass back, is IP64 rated, and comes in blue and black.
Pricing, Availability, and Promotion
The Vivo X90 Pro is priced at US$1,155 (RM4,999) and the Vivo X90 is priced at US$855 (RM3,699). Both models are available in one specification variant and are available at all Vivo concept stores, authorised dealers, Vivo Malaysia’s official E-Store, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.
