- Touts over 900 hours of use from a single AA battery; offers hybrid battery slot
- Symmetrical design meant to accommodate different grip styles
RAZER has announced the Orochi V2, a compact wireless gaming mouse that touts over 900 hours of use from a single AA battery.
Designed for on-the-go use, the Orochi V2 weighs less than 60g (excluding batteries), it said in a statement. The symmetrical design is meant to accommodate different grip styles, with tapered ends to provide a solid grip for when users flick it. It also features a thumbgroove contour and optimised side buttons.
“Gamers shouldn’t have to sacrifice performance for portability,” said Alvin Cheung, senior vice president of Razer’s peripherals business unit. “The Orochi V2 uses state-of-the-art gaming grade components combined with unique lightweight design features, making it the ideal portable gaming mouse.”
Most impressive is perhaps its battery life. The Razer Orochi V2 only requires a single AA or AAA battery to function (it features a hybrid battery slot).
Razer claimed the mouse lasts over 900 hours of continuous usage in Bluetooth mode. Users can alternatively select Razer Hyperspeed Wireless, which reduces the battery life to 425 hours but ensures lag-free connection.
The Orochi V2 features the 2nd -gen Razer Mechanical Mouse Switches, with new gold-plated contact points that the company said are less prone to degrading and have a longer lifespan of up to 60 million clicks. Additionally, the mouse features 100% PTFE mouse feet and a 5G advanced optical sensor.
The Orochi V2 is available as standard in either Black or White colours. The looks can be personalised via Razer Customs, which offers over 100 different designs that range from different looks, stickers and colours, or even game-specific designs.
The Razer Orochi V2 is available at US$70 (RM289.00) at major retailers and on its website.
