Mobile capabilities for Oracle's enterprise performance management

ORACLE Corporation has unveiled Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) System 220.127.116.11.5 which it claimed would enable organisations access enterprise performance insights and make informed decisions from any location.
The latest release features two new mobile capabilities designed to help organisations capitalise on Oracle’s enterprise planning, reporting, and financial close applications on-the-go, the company said in a statement.
The first is a new mobile app, Oracle EPM Mobile, which allows managers and executives to participate in EPM workflows and approvals from smartphones and tablets.
The second capability provides business users with easy access to the functionality of Hyperion Planning from tablet devices.
Both functionalities are available at no additional cost to existing customers and are available for download via the Apple App Sore and the Google Play Store.
“Organisations of all sizes are seeing rapid adoption of mobile devices by their employees,” said Hari Sankar, vice president of product management at Oracle.
“With new mobile capabilities, Oracle’s EPM System now enables broader participation of business users in performance management processes to deliver significant improvements in decision quality and productivity,” he added.
Oracle EPM Mobile is designed to broaden executive participation and accelerate review and approval processes by providing users with easy access to EPM-related workflows on smartphones and tablets.
Oracle Hyperion Planning now allows business users to perform common planning, budgeting and forecasting tasks from iPad and Android tablets.
