ORACLE Corporation has announced the availability of its latest ZFS Storage Appliances, the ZS3 Series,
These next-generation ‘application-engineered’ storage appliances “can significantly improve operational efficiencies and increase business application performance at a much lower price,” claimed Oracle’s Asean storage products director Leong Kam Hong (pic).
In Malaysia, two models are being rolled out: The ZS3-2 and ZS3-4, to cater to both midrange and high-end storage demands, the company said in a statement after a recent media briefing in Kuala Lumpur.
“The Oracle ZS3 is an application-aware storage system. It offers dynamic automation that can help reduce the time spent on tuning database and storage for optimal performance,” Leong said.
“[It] is also designed to thrive in highly virtualised environments,” he added.
The ZS3 Series features an enhanced Hybrid Storage Pools cache design that delivers a fourfold increase in space efficiency for better caching of critical data; and write performance enhancements that deliver a consistent low-latency response time, the company claimed.
