HP tweaks partner programme to better tackle SMB customersHEWLETT-Packard (HP) has announced enhancements to its Just Right IT programme to help channel partners accelerate time-to-revenue by simplifying design and delivery of HP networking, server and storage solutions for small and midsized businesses (SMBs).
 
SMBs need to adopt mobility and virtualisation to improve employee productivity and ensure business continuity, HP said in a statement.
 
However, these technologies can be complex, exposing IT skill gaps in smaller organisations. As a result, many SMBs turn to value-added resellers for advice and implementation assistance to bridge those gaps.
 
Concurrently, resellers need to rapidly identify and address customer needs with products and solutions that fit within customers’ limited IT budget and staff capabilities, HP said.
 
The HP Just Right IT programme enables resellers to deliver the right IT solution at the right time, the company claimed.
 
Key components of the programme are HP NetworkIT and HP Simply StoreIT which enable resellers to rapidly deliver HP networking and storage solutions, based on customer size and stage of a customer’s IT development, accelerating time-to-revenue and return on investment (ROI) for SMB customers.
 
The HP NetworkIT programme is tailored to meet the basic connectivity requirements of small businesses, as well as the complex needs of midsize organisations building mobile-centric businesses.
 
For partners, the programme provides solution guides and blueprints that accelerate product delivery. These assets target specific challenges in critical areas such as business-grade wireless networks, unified communications and collaboration, and secure, unified access and infrastructure.
 
It also offers tools including cobranded lead-generation assets, training, guides and materials to increase sales opportunities. It also provides resources and incentives that accelerate time to revenue with HP Networking solutions.
 
The first offering is the HP Wireless Network Solution, which provides simple, reliable and affordable wired and wireless networking for SMBs.
 
Simply StoreIT helps resellers reduce the time required to sell and design optimised solutions that meet current and future customer needs, HP claimed.
 
The programme offers training and sales tools to market and implement industry-leading innovations such as the recently enhanced HP MSA 2040 Storage disk array.
 
New components of the HP Just Right IT programme also include HP Small Business Solutions and HP Secure Access and Continuity Solutions.
 
HP Small Business Solutions are simple, cost-effective networking, server and storage bundles that support essential IT and business functions, such as email, file, print, networking access and backup.
 
The new HP Secure Access and Continuity Solutions offer SMBs’ built-in security and continuity features that ensure around-the-clock access to data, allowing staff to focus on business priorities.
