Avnet Technology Solutions to distribute SAP solutions in APAC

• Will provide entire portfolio of SAP database and technology solutions via its channels
• Includes providing SAP HANA in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore

AVNET Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet Inc, said it has become a distributor of analytics, enterprise mobility, and database and technology solutions from SAP AG.
 
It will also offer the in-memory SAP HANA platform to its channel partners in multiple countries in Asia Pacific, including China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

As an SAP distributor, Avnet Technology Solutions can provide the entire portfolio of best-in-class SAP database and technology solutions to customers through its network of resellers and system integration channel partners.
 
This gives more resellers and system integrators access to the broad range of database and technology solutions from SAP, Avnet Technology Solutions said in a statement.

“The addition of market-leading SAP technologies to our portfolio further supports our ability to help our channel partners offer the types of IT solutions that give them a competitive edge,” said William Chu, president, Avnet Technology Solutions for the Asia Pacific region.
 
“Our integration capabilities and solutions distribution methodology ensures that we deliver additional value to each engagement and efficiently address the specific needs of those partners in our reseller, ISV (independent software vendor) and system integrator network,” he added.

The new distribution agreement with SAP also gives Avnet’s resellers access to SAP Sybase Adaptive Server Enterprise, SAP Sybase IQ database software, the SAP Sybase Event Stream Processor engine, SAP Data Services software, SAP Sybase SQL Anywhere solutions, SAP Sybase Replication Server software and SAP Sybase PowerDesigner software.
 
The agreement also covers analytics solutions from SAP, including SAP BusinessObjects solutions, SAP Lumira software, SAP Crystal solutions and the SAP Afaria mobile device management solution.
