HP has announced a new channel initiative that it believes will stimulate growth and expand revenue opportunities for channel partners in Asia Pacific and Japan.
The new ‘Think Big’ Initiative is a joint investment program that provides qualified distributors with access to HP training, demonstration centers, sales and marketing support to pursue growth markets and win more business across storage, servers and networking.
To meet enterprise and SMB (small and medium business) customer demands, channel partners need new ways to deliver solutions that help modernize infrastructures, tackle growing data and embrace emerging computing models such as cloud, HP said in a statement.
The Think Big initiative allows partners to provide the support their customers need to optimize their technology infrastructures for greater business flexibility, with HP’s backing, the company said.
Under the terms and conditions of the Think Big Initiative, channel partners will be trained and supported on sales opportunities for high-growth HP Converged Infrastructure solutions including HP ProLiant Servers, HP 3PAR Storage, HP Business Critical Servers and HP Networking solutions.
The initiative is designed to ensure partners can address their clients’ needs, while successfully competing in more significant business opportunities and support profitable growth.
ECS expands regional capabilities
ECS Holdings Limited, a leading technology distributor with a regional presence in South-East Asia, is the first partner to sign up for the initiative.
“With growing interest in higher-valued emerging areas such as cloud computing, it is increasingly important for ECS to demonstrate our broad capabilities to customers,” said Narong Intanate, Group CEO, ECS Holdings Limited.
“Signing up for HP's new initiatives has given us the best opportunity to enhance our capabilities while driving more sales opportunities and profitable growth.”
HP is also extending its HP ServiceONE program with a new services support model that enables qualified partners to expand into high-growth technology services markets and boost profitability.
HP ServiceONE Partner Support for HP Technology Services offers qualified partners the ability to sell HP Converged Infrastructure solutions backed by HP services and support.
“Partners are coming under increasing pressure to support a range of complex business models for their customers,” said Narinder Kapoor (pic), vice president and general manager, HP Enterprise Group, South-East Asia and managing director of Hewlett-Packard Malaysia.
“To fully capitalize on this opportunity, partners need flexible and financially attractive support and service offerings. With this new channel initiative HP is helping partners to expand business opportunities through delivery of high-value solutions while capitalizing on HP sales, technical and marketing resources.”
