MDEC expects inaugural DEX Connex and FOX Xposure programmes in Indonesia to generate US$55mil in export opportunites

Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) announced the success of its recent DEX Connex and FOX Xposure programmes; in partnership with KUMPUL, an Indonesian entrepreneur ecosystem builder.

The inaugural programme aims to enhance collaborative relationships between high tech companies in Malaysia and Indonesia. It serves as a platform for participants to engage, expand their reach, showcase technology companies from Malaysia, and facilitate business opportunities.

42 Malaysian tech companies went to Jakarta for this programme. MDEC expects it to generate US$55 million (RM250 million) in digital export opportunities.

Mahadhir Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), gave a speech at the DEX Connex and FOX Xposure Programme 2023 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC, highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing as key drivers for innovation and growth in the digital economy.

Also present at the programme were Syed Md Hasrin, the Ambassador of Malaysia to the Republic of Indonesia; Ferry Akbar Pasaribu, Assistant Deputy for Investment Strategy, Ministry of Maritime and Investment Affairs Indonesia; Mohd Najeeb Abdullah, Minister Counsellor of Economy, Embassy of Malaysia; along with government representatives, tech industry players, and regional investors.

The programme also witnessed MoU signings between Malaysian and Indonesian companies. Malaysian companies included Faszz Technology (M) Sdn Bhd; TRB Ventures Sdn Bhd (MHub); Verofax Asia Sdn Bhd; and PT The Lorry Online Indonesia. Meanwhile, Indonesian partners include PT Envy Tbk; PT. Aksi Visitama (Tada); PT. Marega Kernel Teknologi and PT Mitrausaha Indonesia Grup (Modalku). The MoU exchanges are to further solidify the collaboration between the two nations.
