Maxis revamps Maxis TV, offering unique OTT bundles

Wish there’s a more convenient way to subscribe to over-the-top (OTT) streaming services under one package? Maxis’ newly-revamped video entertainment service Maxis TV may be just your answer.
Recently unveiled, the company touts the service as a unique one, allows users to purchase and watch video content in one platform. It works by offering flexible and affordable OTT bundle passes at various prices and packages, the company said in a statement.
Under the new Maxis TV users can personalise their bundle with the option to stream content from two or more OTT providers. On top of that, they can add on more OTT providers by purchasing a one-time daily OTT pass at US$0.49 (RM2) per provider.
Maxis TV also offers daily, weekly and monthly passes starting from US$0.74 (RM3), bundled with free data. The service is also available for non-Maxis customers, with free one-month trial for all new subscribers.
“Video on-demand (VOD) consumption among other digital services is surging in popularity with Malaysians spending an average of 4.8 hours a day on the Internet in these extraordinary times,” Navin Manian, Maxis’ head of Hotlink Consumer.
“Our all new Maxis TV is an evolution from our existing platform, where consumers can now totally immerse themselves through an end-to-end experience, from their connectivity to content needs with unlimited data for worry-free streaming.”
Maxis TV can be accessed through the Maxis, Hotlink and Hotlink Postpaid apps. Pass purchases are also charged to the Maxis bill or Hotlink credit, while non-Maxis customers make their payments through credit card.
For this OTT service, Maxis is partnering with VOC content providers that include Dimsum Entertainment, iQiyi, MUBI, Viu and WeTV iflix, with more to come. Additional information can be found here.
