Fortinet announced Dickson Woo as M'sia's country manager

Fortinet has announced that Dickson Woo has been appointed as country manager for Fortinet Malaysia.
In a statement, the company said Woo brings three decades of extensive experience in large computing technologies and the services industry.
He will take responsibility for business operations across Malaysia and will help customers with the development of their cybersecurity strategies to protect against advanced threats and maintain business continuity, the cybersecurity firm said.
“We are excited to have Dickson Woo join the management team for Malaysia. As the threat landscape continues to expand, organizations are increasingly consolidating to a platform approach that converges security and networking for the best protection at networking speeds.” said Peerapong Jongvibool, Fortinet’s regional vice president for Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.
“Woo will work with our customers to ensure that they adopt the best security strategies to enable their digital business,” Jongvibool said.
“It is critical that security is not an afterthought as organisations accelerate their digital initiatives. I look forward to working closely with enterprises to protect their businesses and data with Fortinet’s security MESH platform approach while growing Fortinet’s market share in the process, ” said Woo.
Woo is based in Kuala Lumpur, and has held senior roles in NTT, Microsoft, Dell, Oracle and IBM.
