Anupam Bokil named Sabre’s VP of tech, Asia Pacific

- 22-year company veteran rose through the ranks
- Will lead region’s tech teams, including those acquired from Abacus
SABRE Corp said it has appointed Anupam Bokil (pic) vice president of Technology for Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific.
He will lead the region’s combined technology teams, including assets acquired from Abacus, the company said in a statement. Sabre provides technology solutions to the global travel industry.
“[Anupam Bokil] is uniquely placed to align Sabre’s global resources with the product development opportunities we see in this region,” said Roshan Mendis, senior vice president, Sabre Travel Network Asia Pacific.
“We will benefit from his collaborative approach, working with local suppliers to unlock more of the potential for growth,” he added.
A 22-year Sabre veteran, Anupam began his career with the company building decision support applications for airlines to increase their revenues, crew efficiencies, and perform competitive analysis.
He was promoted through a series of product marketing, technology and delivery roles before moving to China to open the Sabre Airline Solutions office in Shanghai, while serving as managing director responsible for regional delivery. He was most recently been based in the United States.
Anupam will transition to his new role over the coming months. He will relocate to the company’s Singapore regional headquarters in January 2016.
