GERMANY’S Software AG said that AmBank Group, one of the Malaysia’s premier financial solutions groups, is using its webMethods platform to seamlessly integrate its core banking applications with its own on-premises applications.
webMethods enables AmBank to build a single cohesive infrastructure that can simplify maintenance and enhance time-to-market, with the capability to reuse the services built, Software AG said in a statement.
Financial details were not disclosed.
“Transforming our core banking system was critical to achieve the agility, flexibility and long-term growth of the bank,” said AmBank Group chief information officer Charles Tan.
“We looked to Software AG as the global market leader in application integration,” he added.
AmBank engaged with Software AG Global Consulting Services (GCS) to drive the implementation of the rewiring project.
The GCS team worked closely with AmBank to understand the requirements, defined the blueprint of the solution, designed and built 300+ services based on a Service-Oriented Architecture principle to connect the different channels with the new core banking system and other back-ends in the bank, Software AG said.
“Software AG’s webMethods Integration Platform is a powerful middleware solution used by more than 4,000 customers worldwide including many Fortune 1000 companies,” said Software AG Asia Pacific chief operating officer Stanimira Koleva (pic).
“This success is based on a continuous innovation approach, including organic R&D (research and development), acquisitions and customer requirements.
“We are pleased that webMethods has helped AmBank transform its business in an impactful way,” she added.
