Applications open for LowCarbon Earth Accelerator

LowCarbon Earth, an accelerator program designed by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and Massive Earth Foundation is looking for passionate founders who are solving for Climate Change and Pollution Reduction. The LowCarbon Earth Accelerator program runs for 12 weeks and offers a range of digital workshops, valuable resources, and mentorship opportunities. Throughout the program, selected founders will receive strategic mentorship by United Nations professionals and investors, as well as connections to experts in climate tech and sustainability across the Asia Pacific region.

Applications are open for all startups across the entire Asia Pacific region operating in sectors related to Climate Tech including but not limited to agriculture, cooling, microplastics, Renewable Energy and textiles.

  • Microplastics: Startups that have a solution to humanity’s microplastics problem.
  • Agriculture: Startups driving agriculture towards innovation and optimization of resources.
  • Textiles: Startups having the potential to disrupt the current textiles and apparel industry.
  • Cooling: Startups developing cooling solutions to counteract climate change.
  • Renewables: Startups bringing innovation to the Renewable energy sector.

The top 10 finalists will get the opportunity to pitch their innovative solutions in Dubai in December during the COP28 Summit. Startups at various stages are eligible to apply, and there is no fee or equity dilution involved.

LowCarbon Earth was launched as a collaborative effort by the United Nations Environment Program and Massive Earth Foundation. It supports start-ups that make sustainable goods and services more readily available. LowCarbon Earth holds a vision to create a prosperous but not wasteful society and an economy that is self-sustaining.

Women, minorities, individuals with disabilities and other underrepresented groups are strongly encouraged to apply. Applications can be submitted here and the closing date has been extended to Aug 10, 2023.
