SNAPHUNT, a Singapore based hiring marketplace that leverages on Artificial Intelligence (AI) to make white collar hiring faster, more convenient and accurate has recently gone live in Singapore and raised US$1 million (S$1.36 million; RM4.07 million) in seed funding led by the international data tech focused VC firm Beenext.

AI is set to change the way the recruitment industry and organisations search for and acquire talent. Snaphunt essentially acts like a recruitment agency- but without the human recruiter, and takes away the pain of hiring from employers by sourcing and screening applicants using its specialist algorithms to propose talent with both a skill and culture fit for their roles.

Employers can further interview candidates easily and conveniently using pre-recorded interviewing on Snaphunt’s platform and save at least 30% of time spent on hiring, reduce hiring effort by more than 50% and lower hiring costs by as much as 99% as compared to using recruitment agencies.

“We are excited about having Beenext on board and will be spending this investment on making some key hires and aggressively expanding our footprint in Singapore before extending it to other Southeast Asian countries later this year” said Snaphunt founder Tulika Tripathi.

“We believe that everyone deserves to find a job they love, and this enriches their lives and the lives of those around them. Also, if organisations find the right talent more quickly and conveniently, it unlocks enormous potential for them make a stronger impact in their own industries.

“With Snaphunt we are in a unique position to leverage on technology to help individuals and companies achieve these outcomes.”

“We are thrilled by the force and vision of Snaphunt and are believers in the power of the founders. We always try to facilitate the partnership of founders among 150+ companies we have invested in so far and are happy to have Tulika joining our community. We believe that the solutions of Snaphunt will also help our start-up companies,” said Beenext managing partner Teruhide Sato.

“Finding the right culture fit is a big challenge in recruitment” said Sandipan Chattopadhyay, chief executive officer of Xelp, Snaphunt’s technology partner. “We are enjoying pushing the limits of AI and ML to create solutions around this.”

Snaphunt also makes the whole experience of finding a job more palatable for jobseekers. With Snaphunt, jobseekers no longer need to scroll job postings and repeatedly apply for roles.

Snaphunt only proposes roles to a jobseeker that it estimates are a good fit to the individual’s skills, competencies and aspirations, thereby saving them time and making them five times more likely to get selected for an interview than other channels of application.

Snaphunt also does away with the CV blackhole, by providing jobseekers with real time updates on their applications.

Snaphunt is now live in Singapore and hires talent across multiple specialist functions including Accounting & Finance, Sales, Marketing, Human Resources, Secretarial & Business Support, Technology, Data Science & Analytics, Design Copy & Production to name a few.
