Malaysian space startups Sirius and Angkasa-X explore collaboration with MOU signing at LIMA23

  • Joint venture is under the patronage of MOSTI and MYSA
  • Combines Sirius’ space expertise with Angkasa-X’s satellite manufacturing

Sirius T&E together with Angkasa-X Innovation are exploring the field of rocket launchers and satellite construction in Malaysia for space industry players.  

The announcement was made at LIMA23 Langkawi. During the memorandum signing ceremony between Sirius and Angkasa-X on 23rd May 2023. At the event, Angkasa-X was represented by Dr Sean Seah and Sirius was represented by Khairuddin Rahman. The signing was witnessed by representatives from China Great Wall Industry Corporation and China Academy of Vehicle Launch Technology, the providers of the satellite launching technology.,

Sirius, with its experience and expertise in the satellite and space industry, is considered a technical subject matter expert in the field of space technology and its various applications such as IOT Satellite, Earth Observation, Monitoring, location application as well as rocket launching. 

This joint venture is also under the patronage of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) through the Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA) where it will be able to empower and drive space-related technology culture in the country to a higher level.

The launch of Malaysian satellites from Angkasa-X by the Malaysian Sirius Launcher and its Malaysian workforce will elevate the field of space in Malaysia to a higher level.
