COMMUNICATIONS and sound solution provider Jabra has introduced its new premium wireless headset, the Evolve 75.

Office real estate is getting expensive leading to more open concept offices and mobile workforces that are constantly on the go.

Noise and distractions are common challenges that these workers face on a daily basis, leading to reduced productivity and collaboration.

Jabra’s new Evolve 75 was conceived to cope with this new way of working as workers need to stay connected while maintaining the wireless freedom that has a wireless range of 30m for laptops and 10m for smartphones.

The new professional grade wireless headset boasts a unique combination of features that include superior Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).

The Evolve 75’s ANC reduces all background noise, giving users the feeling that they are in the zone by removing all distractions around them.

“Increasingly, knowledge workers are being forced into isolation to do their jobs. The Jabra Evolve 75 provides businesses with an alternative solution to support an open office philosophy that’s conducive to better performance,” said Jabra managing director for Asean Ben Samman

He adds that the headphones also have Passive Noise Cancellation (PNC) incorporated into its design with soft leather ear cups that insulate the ear from external noise while staying comfortable for all-day wearing.

The headphones come equipped with high-quality speakers for music and high definition voice for crystal clear calls. Its Dual Bluetooth connectivity supports calls and music by allowing the user to simultaneously pair the headset with two connected devices such as a computer and smartphone.

It is not just about keeping sound from being heard, the Evolve 75 also has a boom-arm noise cancelling microphone that stows away when not in use for calls.

Jabra says that as the microphone is capable of eliminating background noise, it is suitable for taking conference calls without worrying about relocating to a quieter environment.

The wireless headset also has an integrated busy light indicator, a circular red light on the side of the headphone, that lets others know that the wearer may be busy at the moment.

The Evolve 75 also has a listen-in button on the side to turn off all audio and use the microphone on the outside to channel external sounds without having to remove the headset.

Jabra says that the Evolve 75 has a battery life of up to 13.5 hours, making it well suited to take long conference calls.

The Jabra Evolve 75 is available now in Malaysia and has a starting price of US$329 (without GST). Jabra has not finalised local pricing as of yet but interested parties can  contact Jabra for inquiries.
