DIGI Telecommunications Sdn Bhd has announced the launch of the Digi Music Freedom pass, in partnership with domestic and international services.
Starting March 13, Digi subscribers with an Internet plan can activate the Music Freedom pass to stream all the music they want from the most popular music discovery, streaming and Internet radio services including Deezer, Spotify, Rdio, KKBox, Soundhound, Hitz.fm, Era.fm, My.fm, BE-AT.TV and Q.us, the company said in a statement.
“We want our subscribers to enjoy music with the freedom of being able to listen to it anytime and anywhere on their smartphones,” said Digi chief marketing officer Christian Thrane.
“Music is universal and appeals to everyone. Similarly, music services are also very personal choices and we don’t limit our offering to only one service.
“What’s unique about the Digi Music Freedom pass is it allows subscribers to enjoy unlimited streaming from the most popular services that they are already using and are familiar with,” he added.
The service is however available only to users on the iOS or Android platforms. To subscribe, Digi customers have to download the Digi Music Freedom app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. For more information, visit http://digi.my/musicfreedom.
The Music Freedom pass is in line with its Digi Live brand proposition to bring the newest and most inspiring entertainment content, along with the latest digital service innovations from global partners, the company said.
“We are pleased to partner with these big names in the music streaming scene to bring customers a breadth of choice,” said Thrane.
“To add to the good news, we are giving 90 days of free streaming when customers subscribe to the Music Freedom pass from now until June 30,” he added.
After that date, the Digi Music Freedom pass can be purchased for RM3 (US$0.81) per month for unlimited music streaming.
