- More affordable Nitro monitor has AMD Radeon FreeSync technology to reduce screen tearing
THE year 2018 may be drawing to an end but Acer Malaysia is not done yet as they expanded their Predator and Nitro portfolio of gaming monitors.
Leading the pack is the 4K ready Predator XB273K gaming monitor. The 27-inch monitor displays at Ultra High Definition (UHD) resolution (3,840 X 2,160).
It has a lightning fast 144Hz refresh rate that had a 4 millisecond (ms) response time and functions with Nvidia G-sync technology.
Offering vibrant colours that pop and offer deeper blacks. To enhance colour vibrancy, Acer used Quantum Dot technology.
Outfitted with Predator GameView, the monitor can be tweaked and saved in three custom modes for gamers to switch between Standard, ECO, Graphic and Movie modes.
In addition, there are three special game modes for action, racing and sports games.
With a 178-degree viewing angle that provides maximum viewability so games appear clear from any position.
To keep gamers focused on the game the monitor had a shield hold that lessens distractions during intense gaming sessions.
According to Acer, the Predator XB273K gaming monitor will be available by mid-Dec at US$1,099 (RM4,589).
Gamers looking for a more affordable model can consider the Acer Nitro XV273K monitor.
Boasting AMD Radeon FreeSync technology that syncs with the graphics card's frames to eliminate screen tearing, while reducing lag.
Like the Predator XB273K, the Nitro XV273K can be overclocked up to 144Hz refresh rate.
The Acer Nitro XV273K monitor will be available in mid-Nov 2018 at US$718 (RM2,999).
Both monitors will feature a host of other features Flicker-less, BlueLightShield, ComfyView and low-dimming technologies.
