The refreshed Swift 5 and Swift 3 products, which belong in Acer’s line of thin and portable laptops, notably come equipped with the 11th Gen Intel Core processors. The Swift 5 in particular is co-engineered with Intel and is verified as an Intel Evo platform laptop, meaning that it meets the hardware specifications and key experience targets for consistent responsiveness, instant wake, long-lasting battery life and fast charge.
It can, for instance, run multiple applications for up to 15 hours on a single full charge – a 30-minute charge can supposedly provide up to 4 hours of video playback. These aren’t the only made-for-travel productivity laptops Acer is introducing in Malaysia. The TravelMate P2 is here, too, featuring 11th Gen Intel Core processors and Intel Iris Xe graphics that can be configured with either 1TB of HDD storage or a 512GB SSD, with up to 32GB of RAM.

There are some things for gamers to look forward to. Acer Malaysia introduced the Predator Orion 3000 desktop PC, alongside two Type-C monitors for gaming.
The Predator Orion is classified as the younger brother in the Orion series, but it’s no slouch. It packs up to 10th Gen Intel Core i7 Processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX2060 SUPER GPU into a space-saving design. It comes with 8GB of RAM standard, with additional slots for users to easily add on memory up to 64GB.

The new monitors price at RM3,299 and RM1,799 respectively.
This newly-announced line-up does have one glaring omission – the Acerpure Cool, a 2-in-1 air circulator and purifier that Acer announced in October.
According to Acer Malaysia's Director of Consumer Business, Product and Marketing Johnson Seet, the Acerpure Cool will be arriving “very soon”. They are in the midst of local processes such as obtaining certification for the device. As this is a new product for Acer, the company looks to have everything approved before rolling out the product.
“Do stay tuned, we are actually speeding things up. January is a dry and hot season, so it will be cool to have this product when you’re staying home. So do stay tuned,” he says.
