Logitech unveils slew of mobility products

Company releases four new products, saying mobility is at heart of its product development

WITH mobile technology becoming parts of personal and professional lives, even bridging the two, it has become the heart of product development at Swiss-based Logitech International, the company said in releasing a slew of new products.

“At Logitech, our very existence is centred on helping people connect to the digital experiences they care about,” said Moninder N. Jain, vice president of sales and marketing at Logitech Asia Pacific and Japan.

“And today that experience is very much about mobility – from the larger scale of being productive and connected anytime, anywhere, to a more down-to-earth scale, where mobility is about easily taking our work or entertainment around our workplace or home,” he added.

The company has launched a number of new products to help consumers “embrace the mobility lifestyle.”

Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad mini (pic)

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad mini offers a thin and light typing experience for iPad mini users. The keyboard easily connects to an iPad through Bluetooth, with its layout maximising key size for fast and fluid typing, while the thin and light design complements the mobility of the iPad mini.

Logitech’s thinnest, lightest keyboard folio also features time-saving iOS shortcut keys such as cut, copy and paste, the company said in a statement.

Beyond convenience, users get protection with the durable, water-repellent two-sided casing, which helps protect their tablet from accidental bumps, scratches and spills.

The folio’s SecureLock system also ensures an iPad stays firmly fastened to the frame, no matter if you position the dual-view stand upright for typing or flat with the keyboard hidden for browsing and viewing content.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad mini, weighing a 285g, is also rechargeable, giving users up to three months of battery life on a full charge, Logitech claimed.

Logitech Folio Protective Case for iPad mini

The Logitech Folio Protective Case for iPad mini, sibling to the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Folio for iPad mini, is Logitech’s thinnest protective case. Made from protective, water-repellent materials, its durable two-sided case covers the front and back of an iPad mini, helping protect it from accidental bumps, scratches and spills.

Its SecureLock system keeps an iPad secure, and doubles as a stand that holds an iPad mini in several positions, from nearly flat to fully upright, adapting to hold the device at the right angle for reading, viewing or playing.

The Logitech Folio Protective Case for iPad mini is available for a suggested retail price of RM159.

Logitech z50 Multimedia Speaker

The Logitech z50 Multimedia Speaker for the home comes with 10 watts of peak power. Designed for plug-and-play simplicity, its handy 3.5 mm audio line-in connects the speaker to multiple devices, such as a smartphone, tablet or laptop – that is needed is a power source.

Weighing just 260g for easy portability, the Logitech z50 Multimedia Speaker is available in pink, grey, or blue.

The Logitech Bluetooth Speakers Z600 provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity for up to three devices at the same time. With this pair of wireless stereo speakers, it’s simple to stream music and other audio from the computer, smartphone or tablet -- switching among devices is as easy as pressing pause on one and pressing play on another, Logitech claimed.
