ZTE enters Malaysian enterprise market with Spring Reach

• Aims for 10% share of government and enterprise segment in 3yrs
• China company to also grow channel partner initiatives this year

TELECOMMUNICATIONS equipment and network solutions provider ZTE (Malaysia) Corporation Sdn Bhd has appointed Spring Reach Distribution Sdn Bhd as the first distributor for its entire range of enterprise products for the government and enterprise (G&E) segment in Malaysia.
 
Spring Reach distributes wireless communication solutions and network products, and has a distributor network spanning Peninsula and East Malaysia, ZTE said in a statement.
 
As distributor, Spring Reach will distribute ZTE’s IP (Internet Protocol) switches and routers, WLAN (wireless LAN) and video-conferencing systems throughout Malaysia over the next three years.
 
“ZTE has been working hard in the enterprise market for more than 10 years, and to date our ICT solutions have been widely deployed in more than 50 countries through more than 1,600 partners globally,” said ZTE Malaysia managing director Eric Wang.
 
“Income from the enterprise segment accounted for 20% of the company’s US$13.3 billion revenue in 2012, with more and significant growth expected in 2013,” he said.
 
Wang said that with the support of Spring Reach, ZTE aims to become one of the leading brands in the Malaysian enterprise market with the aim of winning 10% market share.
 
“We are gratified to be ZTE’s first distribution partner of its G&E products in Malaysia,” said Spring Reach director Rubern P.
 
“We are confident of immediately creating value for ZTE by enhancing its market base … as well as achieving its Enterprise division’s targets,” he added.
 
ZTE said it is committed to growing its reach in the Malaysian market and would be investing in channel development initiatives going forward.
 
“In the next few years, ZTE will invest … resources to develop more than 100 partners with Spring Reach and ultimately build a distribution network of more than 200 partners to cover Malaysia nationwide,” said ZTE Corp vice president Yang Jun.
 
ZTE is listed on both the Hong Kong and Shenzen stock markets.
