Suzlinda Sulaiman from Fujitsu to lead Microsoft Malaysia’s services unit

  • Former VP of managed services at Fujitsu Malaysia brings 22yrs of industry experience

Suzlinda Sulaiman from Fujitsu to lead Microsoft Malaysia’s services unitMICROSOFT Corp has appointed Suzlinda Sulaiman (pic), former vice president of managed services at Fujitsu Malaysia, to head the Microsoft Services division in Malaysia.
 
In this role, Suzlinda will lead the consulting and enterprise support team, which helps Malaysian businesses maximise returns on their investment in Microsoft products and technologies, Microsoft Malaysia said in a statement.
 
This means not only helping with deploying and optimising IT, but also helping businesses move forward with IT initiatives that deliver the most business value, the company said.
 
“I am very excited to be part of Microsoft Malaysia, a company well-positioned at the forefront of new technologies and innovations,” she said. “Particularly now in the era of big data, cloud services and mobility, both technology and services need to work in tandem to successfully deliver innovative solutions for our customers.”
 
Microsoft Services is a team of more than 20,000 architects, engineers, consultants, and support professionals worldwide, and works with clients across 191 countries and in 46 different languages.
 
Suzlinda brings with her 22 years of sales and customer relationship management experience within the local ICT (information and communications technology) industry. In Fujitsu Malaysia, her responsibilities included leading and managing the country’s Managed Services business and operations of Shared Services & Outsourcing, as well as the Fujitsu Global Cloud Platform offerings.
 
She was also the former head of Fujitsu Malaysia’s Public Sector, Education and Healthcare sales, the initial position she held upon joining them.
 
Prior to Fujitsu Malaysia, Suzlinda’s notable stints also include growing Apple Malaysia’s Mac business in the education market in Malaysia and Brunei, and setting up her own IT services and maintenance outfit to support over 300 public schools under Malaysia’s Ministry of Education ICT projects.
 
She has also had direct and channel sales experience, and helped pioneer Oracle Malaysia’s Channels Division back in the mid-1990s.
 
The early years of Suzlinda’s career saw her gain technical and marketing experience with local companies such as Ingres Software and PanGlobal Sistemaju.
 
Suzlinda holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Iowa, and a Degree of Associate General Studies from Indiana University KPP/ITM Shah Alam.
