Former SAP senior exec joins enterprise mobility company Kony

ENTERPRISE mobility company Kony Inc has announced the appointment of Steven Medeiros (pic) as vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific and Middle East.
As part of the company’s global expansion strategy, Medeiros will focus on building out offices and channels in the Dubai, Qatar, Japan, Greater China, Australia and South-East Asia markets, Kony said in a statement.
Orlando, Florida-based Kony provides mobile application solutions that enables it customers to build application to drive customer loyalty, employee empowerment, and business process improvement.
Many companies are using mobility as a catalyst for innovation of their business, especially with the explosive growth in mobile devices across the globe, Kony said in a statement.
“Steve [Medeiros] joins us with more than two decades of experience leading revenue growth and expansion for high tech companies in North America and Asia Pacific,” said Blake Sallé, president of field operations at Kony.
“We believe the power of mobility will transform the Asia Pacific region, especially as the mobile application adoption curve accelerates for many businesses. Steve has a keen understanding of this market and how we can better serve the unique enterprise mobility needs of our customers,” he added.
Medeiros served in a variety of senior leadership and general management roles across the Asia Pacific region. He has led sales, business development, and consulting services at some of the most recognised technology companies including SAP, Hire.com, Oracle, and Arrow Electronics.
Prior to joining Kony, he served as head of SAP’s Line of Business and Cloud solution sales for Greater China, where was responsible for driving SAP’s cloud offerings there. During his tenure at SAP, he also led the company’s Mobility Sales organisation across Asia Pacific.
