Mahindra Satyam, TechMatrix in Asean cloud-based healthcare pact

  • To provide network infrastructure product line and cloud service for medical and healthcare information
  • Duo to jointly address strategic growth areas in healthcare which leverage cloud-based and mobile technology

Mahindra Satyam, TechMatrix in Asean cloud-based healthcare pactCONSULTING and IT services provider Mahindra Satyam has signed a partnership agreement with Japan’s TechMatrix Corporation to provide cloud-based healthcare solutions in the Asean (Association of South-East Asian Nations) region.
 
TechMatrix subsidiary Ichigo LLC will provide its ‘Teleradiology’ network infrastructure product line and ‘Nobori’ cloud service for medical and healthcare information. Mahindra Satyam in turn will host the cloud and mobile-based services in Singapore and Malaysia, while providing direct sales and IT services to clients throughout region.
 
Mahindra Satyam and TechMatrix will jointly invest in sales and marketing efforts as well as in hardware and software enhancements for this technology, which has a combination of cloud based central servers and a proprietary set-top-box like appliance, the two said in a statement.
 
Through this partnership, TechMatrix and Mahindra Satyam will focus on:

  • Delivering state-of-the-art healthcare solutions to public and private hospitals and image scanning centers;
  • Reducing healthcare costs while improving the quality of services; and
  • Growing TechMatrix and Mahindra Satyam’s revenues by addressing strategic growth areas in healthcare which leverage cloud-based and mobile technology.

“Together we hold the vision that our combined experience and expertise can bring transformational solutions to healthcare within Asean,” he added.
 
As a first step in this partnership, Mahindra Satyam has installed an Ichigo Teleradiology iComServer in its Singapore data center and launched activities to support initial installations.
 
As a second step, in 2013 Mahindra Satyam and TechMatrix will jointly launch the Nobori Cloud healthcare services, including Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS), a vendor-neutral solution for medical image storage, management and retrieval.
 
“In addition to the technological leadership and innovation that Mahindra Satyam has in telemedicine, healthcare and cloud services, we see natural synergies between our two organizations which we believe are critical to build a lasting partnership,” said TechMatrix chief executive officer Takashi Yuri.
