LIVINGSOCIAL Malaysia is collaborating with the Breast Cancer Welfare Association Malaysia (BCWA) to run a ‘Pink Campaign’ across its platform to get its audience and the general public involved in helping and spreading the word about breast cancer awareness.
Users can donate RM10 to BCWA through the Be Breast Aware! campaign on LivingSocial Malaysia, from now until Nov 17.
LivingSocial Malaysia is also inviting members of the public to share their most memorable ‘Pink’ moments on its Facebook page, in the form of a picture, and LivingSocial will create a collage. The top 10 creative entries will receive a mystery gift, the company said in a statement.
Donations would be used to help fund BCWA activities including providing information, psychosocial support and practical advice to breast cancer survivors and their families, and public education and training on early detection and treatment of breast cancer and related breast health issues.
BCWA was founded in 1986 by medical specialists who realised the need for peer support for women with breast cancer. It is an independent tax- exempt voluntary organisation registered with the Registrar of Societies in Malaysia, and a member of the International Union against Cancer (UICC) and Reach to Recovery International (RRI).
LivingSocial Malaysia is a local marketplace to buy and share the best things to do in your city.
