THE Malaysian Indian Entrepreneurs Cooperative, known by its Malay-language acronym KUIMB, has announced The Entrepreneurs Conference (TEC2020), which it said sets out to harness talent from established entrepreneurs as well as budding ones.
TEC2020 will be held on April 11 at the Istana Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, KUIMB said in a statement, with the theme ‘The Power of Ideas.’
KUIMB said it was founded in response to the limited funds and other resources available to aspiring entrepreneurs. TEC2020 aims to bring together established and nascent entrepreneurs to come together to share ideas on creating positive change in the economy and marketplace, KUIMB said.
“Through this conference, we seek to enrich Indian entrepreneurs with networking opportunities [and knowledge-sharing] not only among us but also outside the Indian community,” said KUIMB chairman Madhu Marimuthu.
According to KUIMB, conference sponsors include E.C. Harris Malaysia, Bharat Group, Brickfields Asia College, PricewaterhouseCooper (PwC) and Optima Infosystems, with support from Malaysia’s Ministry of International Trade and Industry.
