Microsoft appoints Laurence Si to lead Malaysia

- Succeeds K Raman who led Microsoft Malaysia for a record 9 year stretch

Microsoft has announced the appointment of Laurence Si (pic) as the Managing Director for its operations in Malaysia, effective 1 July. He will assume the operational responsibilities from K Raman who led Malaysia for a record breaking 9-years and whose new role will be announced on 1 July.
Laurence brings 30 years of business and technical experience and vast industry knowledge to advance growth and digital acceleration for Malaysia, its developer and startup ecosystem, enterprise businesses, small to medium enterprises, the public sector, and crucial industry vertical sectors.
At Microsoft, Laurence and his leadership team will be responsible for accelerating the country's digital transformation through cloud adoption and artificial intelligence, empowering digital-first companies and startups with tools to scale their innovation.

He previously held leadership roles at AWS, VMware, Cisco, and Lucent, contributing significantly to establishing their presence advancing Malaysia to adopt cloud.
