Samsung wants to Flip the switch on for collaboration

IT IS no secret that Samsung has been at the forefront of display technology. Now, the South Korean electronics giant is turning its attention to the boardroom with Samsung Flip, a digital flipchart for the Business-to-Business (B2B) and education segment.

Samsung Flip features a sleek all-in-one design with an integrated stand and lockable wheels that allow it to be easily moved for meetings in any corner of the office.

“Many companies are embracing open-plan office environments where meetings can occur spontaneously. The Samsung Flip enables digital collaboration for architects, creative agencies and more,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics president Yoonsoo Kim (pic).

Kim notes that most meetings are still conducted in an analogue fashion with paperclip charts and multiple pieces of paper that end up being messy.

The Flip aims to make sharing content as easy as connecting your smart device or laptop to it, start a presentation, easily make notes and immediately share it after the meeting.

The 55-inch 4K resolution display allows up to four users to simultaneously write annotations on the screen either with the included dual-sided pen, complete with wooden tips, or with a regular pen (with the cap on of course).

Made a mistake? Just erase it with the palm of your hand and not worry about smudging ink.

Connectivity options are aplenty as the Flip can be connected via HDMI to a PC, wireless to a smartphone or tablet and shared to a thumb drive via the USB port.

Flip users can access up to 20 pages of writing space and are able to switch between portrait or landscape orientations to suit the meeting space.

Even after the meeting is finished the Flip is able to store all presentations within its 8GB onboard storage, over network storage or you can just print it out.

The Samsung Flip is now available in Malaysia at a recommended retail price of US$3,316 (RM12,999).
