Worldwide PC shipments grow for first time in six years in 2Q18
The PC and tablet market is estimated to decline 1.2% in 2018, while the mobile phone market is on pace to record an increase of 1.4%.

Traditional PC shipments in Asia/Pacific (including Japan) totalled 101.8 million units in 2016, accounting for a 5.5% y-o-y decrease – a softer contraction from the 7.7% y-o-y drop in 2015.
Windows 7 gets a cumulative update – finally

Windows 8 upgrade offer, plus special deal for SMBs
Microsoft has announced the availability of the Windows Upgrade Offer for consumers purchasing a new Windows 7 PC, where they have the option to purchase a downloadable upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for an estimated retail price of US$14.99. In Malaysia, the company also announced that SMB customers who upgrade to Windows 7 on Open License with Software Assurance will enjoy a 30% discount.
