GSMA joins ITU in campaign to boost mobile broadband in Asia Pacific
The GSM Association said it is collaborating with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in a new programme to encourage the development of mobile broadband in the Asia Pacific region.
Maxis YTD revenue up 3%
Maxis Berhad said revenue grew 3% in the first nine months ended Sept 30 this year compared with the same period in 2012, to RM6.86 billion on the back of contributions from all business segments, but largely driven by higher mobile Internet and data usage which recorded an increase of 14.6%.

In Q2, Celcom surpasses RM2-bil revenue mark for first time

Building for data needs a fresh approach: Ericsson
According to a June 2013 Mobility Report released by Ericsson, a smartphone user is expected to more than quadruple mobile monthly data consumption from 450MB to an average of 2GB data per user in 2018. Maxis Q2 profits up 11.3%, revenue dips
Maxis reported net profit was up 11.3% to RM530 million for the second quarter which ended June 30, attributing this to the strength of its non-voice business, particularly mobile Internet, and cost management.
