German satellite television network earthTV has announced plans for an aggressive push into the Asia Pacific region, making its first stop at the Asian Television Forum in Singapore come December.
IT spending in Asia Pacific is forecast to reach US$743 billion in 2013, an increase of 7.9% over 2012, according to Gartner Inc. In 2012, IT spending in Asia Pacific is on pace to grow 7.6%.
The big data technology and services market in Asia Pacific (excluding Japan) is expected to grow from US$258.5 million in 2011 to US$1.76 billion in 2016, on the back of a 46.8% five-year compound annual growth rate (CAGR).
Analyst firm Ovum has released its CIO Executive Insights: Asia-Pacific tool which it claimed allows IT vendors to target the right message to the right people at the right time.
