Maybank earns multiple sustainability awards at gobal finance sustainable finance awards

• 1st bank in M’sia to publish Environmental Report & Social Impact Report in 2024
• Won 4 sustainability awards, including Best Bank for Sustainable Financing in Emerging Markets

Maybank has secured multiple accolades at the Global Finance Sustainable Finance Awards. Among the awards, Maybank was named the Best Bank for Sustainable Financing in Emerging Markets (Global & Asia Pacific), Best Bank for Sustainability Transparency (Asia Pacific), Best Bank for Sustainable Finance (Malaysia), and Best Bank for Sustainable Finance (Indonesia). These honors reflect the bank’s efforts to address climate change and promote sustainable development across the ASEAN region, it said in a press statement.

In addition to these sustainability-focused awards, Maybank was also recognized as the Best Foreign Exchange Bank in Malaysia. These achievements align with the bank’s M25+ strategy, which emphasizes customer-centricity, digital transformation, and sustainability leadership.
