DIMSUM, a Malaysian subscription video -on-demand (VOD) service launched “Celebrate Asia with Us” to mark its first anniversary over the weekend and announced the upcoming addition of four new regional content partners, Ani-One (Hong Kong), GMM Grammy (Thailand), Celestial Tiger Entertainment (Hong Kong) and Asia Travel (Taiwan) to its platform.

Dimsum offers the latest shows from China, Japan, Thailand, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, as well as the best collection of dramas from Hong Kong and Korea.

Dimsum is the first overseas partner of Ani-One, featuring popular Japanese animated movies and cartoon series, ranging from adventurous, to the most in-demand Teen-action-thrilling titles. Among the titles coming on dimsum are Infini T Force, Tales of Zestiria The X Season 1 & 2, Food Wars - Shokugeki no Soma - The Second Plate, KONOSUBA - God's blessing on this wonderful world!! Season 1 & 2, and Saga of Tanya The Evil.

A collaboration with GMM, the largest media conglomerate in Thailand, paves the way for dimsum  to expand its Thai drama offerings. It will include titles such as Club Friday To Be Continued: Rak Long Jai, Home... Stay, Slam Dance, Lai Hong, Love Under the Shadow and many more dramas.

Miao Mi is a children edutainment channel from Celestial Tiger Entertainment, Hong Kong that is designed for kids between the ages of three to six.

Dimsum has also tied up with Asia Travel, a Taiwanese travel channel which provides the most up to date tourist information along with programme offerings ranging from adventure, cultural exploration to cuisine and all-encompassing travel variety programs.

In November 2017, dimsum continued to improve its device compatibility from smartphones, laptops, tablets, computers, Google Chromecast and Apple Airplay to Samsung Smart TV. To ensure uninterrupted streaming experience, dimsum has also integrated convenient payment options with major telecommunication providers where subscribers can now pay via their mobile operators like Celcom, Maxis and Digi. Dimsum streams in full HD with multi-language subtitles, allows offline viewing and five concurrent users.

Lam Swee Kim, chief marketing officer of dimsum was thrilled with the first anniversary milestone.  “Our journey in the first year has been exciting, we have secured multiple partners from various industries locally and regionally. We will continue to build dimsum to be a regional brand,” she said.
