JobStreet rolls out salary-matching feature

ONLINE recruitment portal JobStreet.com has launched a new feature called Salary Matching that matches candidates to the salary they want, saying it was the first and only job site in South-East Asia to have such a feature.
This would help candidates find the job that meets their most important requirement – the right salary, the company said in a statement.
Job hunting is not an easy task, especially when candidates are given insufficient decision-making information such as salary, to help them apply for the right job. To underscore the importance of salary information, a recent Nielsen survey showed that when it came to choosing a job, salary is the most important factor, JobStreet.com said.
Candidates often apply for jobs blindly without knowing if the salary for the position matches their expectation. If there is no match, it becomes a waste of time and resource for both employers and candidates.
JobStreet.com said it has always made it a priority to display jobs with salary information. Since the launch of the JobStreet.com Richer Job Ad in the fourth quarter of this year, salary information has been displayed on job advertisements.
Another new feature is the Personalised Page, which allows JobStreet.com members to log in and view job matches, consider suggestions that might suit them or if they choose, browse jobs, all complete now with salary matching.
JobStreet.com, listed on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities, is present in Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, India, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam. The group currently services over 90,000 corporate customers and has over 12 million jobseekers in its database.
