Singtel dashes into mobile payments

SINGTEL has unveiled a new version of its popular mobile payments app, Singtel Dash, in conjunction with the launch of the Singtel Transit NFC SIM.

Singtel Dash is Singapore’s first all-in-one mobile payments solution. In addition to secure transit payments and top-ups, customers can also use it for in-store and online retail payments, as well as local and overseas money transfers.

The Singtel Transit NFC SIM effectively transforms NFC phones into ez-link cards. Via the Singtel Dash app, customers can top up their ez-link account.

Gan Siok Hoon, Singtel’s Vice President of mCommerce said, “Singapore has the potential to be the next mobile payments hotspot with its pervasive mobile connectivity and 150% smartphone penetration rate. Singaporeans should move forward with an efficient and trusted payments solution and Singtel Dash offers these capabilities."

To celebrate the launch of the Singtel Transit NFC SIM and the new Singtel Dash, Singtel is teaming up with Samsung to offer free rides on buses, MRT, LRT and taxis until 31st May 2016.

This is exclusively for Singtel Dash customers who register for the Singtel Transit NFC SIM on selected Samsung phones. All Dash customers will also be treated to special Dash $1 Deals near MRT stations and bus interchanges at all Singtel retail shops, 7-Eleven, Cheers and Watsons outlets.
