The Samsung Galaxy M62 arrives, touting a 7,000mAh battery SAMSUNG Malaysia Electronics has announced the arrival of the Galaxy M62 (released as the F62 in India), the latest in their line of mid-range smartphones.

While it’s not a flagship device, the M62 is powerful in its own right – specifically, it touts at massive 7,000mAH battery that is coupled with the flagship-level Exynos 9825 chipset, the company said in a statement.

“The Galaxy M series are thoughtfully made to create a more connected, genuine and meaningful connection to meet consumers’ needs in this new normal– enabling them to share stories and engage with their friends and family through these essential features that matter most,” said Edward Han, president of Samsung Malaysia Electronics.

The Galaxy M62 is a large device, sporting a 6.7-inch infinity-O, FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus display at 1,080p resolutions. The device is powered by the Exynos 9825 chipset, the octa-core processor available on the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+, which coupled with 8GB of RAM means that it can deliver flagship levels of performance.

The smartphone features a quad-camera system, comprising of a 64MP main shooter, a 12MP ultra-wide angle camera, a 5MP macro lens and a 5MP depth camera. Selfies are courtesy of a 32MP front-facing camera for selfies.

What’s truly monstrous about the M62 is the massive 7,000mAh battery. To complement the whopping battery capacity, the Galaxy M62 also comes with a Wired PowerShare feature, which lets you charge other devices.

The Galaxy M62 comes with an in-box Type-C 25W fast charger, which the company claimed is able to recharge the device’s battery to full in less than two hours.

The Galaxy M62 will be made available exclusively on Lazada on March 3 in two colours: Blue and Black, in an 8GB+256GB configuration. It is priced at US$492.99 (RM1,999). However,  there is a one-day sale pricing the device at RM1,599.
