Samsung blends art with entertainment in its Frame TV

THE shape and design of TVs have not changed for the longest time and frankly, it is pretty boring. Samsung’s latest 4K TV aims to change all that with The Frame.

The new lifestyle TV from Samsung is said to blend seamlessly with living spaces and interior decor.

Samsung aims to push the boundaries of traditional TVs with The Frame’s design making it more than just a screen to enjoy TV shows and movies. The Frame is meant to be a bold statement that catches the eye.

Thanks to its No Gap Wall-mount that has a universal mount system built into the back of the TV, The Frame sits flush against the wall when mounted, making it appear like a real picture frame.

“To show the integration of art, design and technology, The Frame fits into any decor be it modern contemporary, industrial or minimalist,” said Samsung Malaysia Electronics head of consumer electronics Jimmy Tan.

The Frame’s line-up includes 55-inch and 65-inch models. Unlike conventional TVs, the Frame displays bespoke works of art when powered off through its Art Mode feature. Within the mode, there are 100 exclusive works of art by 37 renowned designers.

Alternatively, if you prefer a more personal touch, you can choose to display your personal masterpieces or your family photos.

The Frame is equipped with a brightness sensor that allows the screen to adjust to the natural levels of light in the room, giving the appearance of a picture on the wall.

To ensure The Frame matches the ambience and decor of the living space, Samsung offers a choice of three frame options: walnut, beige wood and white that can be magnetically attached to the display’s side panels.

Samsung says The Frame has an easy set-up process with users having to spend just 15-minutes to adjust the position of the TV on the wall, mount it and then sit back to relax.

The Frame will debut in Malaysia on Aug 15 at a recommended retail price of RM14,999 for the 65-inch model and RM9,999 for the 55-inch model.
