SAMSUNG is wasting no time to cash in on the interest in its new flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S8 and S8+. Not more than a week after the smartphone’s unveiling in New York, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has opened the gates for pre-orders.
The company announced a three-day pre-order promotion starting from 10:00 am, April 11 until 11:59 pm, April 13.
Samsung Malaysia has already set up a pre-order site for customers to place their orders and be among the first to own the Galaxy S8 and S8+ which will retail for US$745 (RM3,299) and US$834 (RM3,699).
Pre-order customers will enjoy bundled accessories including a Limited Edition Starter Kit consisting of a clear cover, screen protector, wireless charger stand and a USB Type-C cable.
Samsung is also giving pre-order customers a 5,100mAh battery pack that should help them recharge their phones when on the go.
Customers will also benefit from the Samsung Protection Plus, an extended service plan that covers mechanical and electrical breakdowns as well as accidental damage to their device.
Under the plan, customers would receive a 1-year screen crack protection that allows for a one-time replacement within a 12-month period for any accidental damage claim, and an additional 1-year extended warranty.
Customers completing their pre-order Galaxy S8 or S8+ will receive a confirmation email, to be able to collect their devices on May 4, a day before the official Malaysian launch.
