The Oppo Find X3 Pro finds its way to Malaysia

  • Main and ultra-wide cameras utilises IMX766 50MP sensors
  • Powered by Snapdragon 888; offers 120Hz adaptive screen at QHD+ resolutions

The Oppo Find X3 Pro finds its way to Malaysia THE month of March has been a pretty packed month of smartphone launches and announcements. So it's no surprise that Oppo has officially announced the Find X3 Pro in Malaysian shores.

The Find X3 Pro brings with it two 50MP cameras, the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset, and a new 10bit screen with adaptive refresh rate, Oppo said in a statement.

“It is an honour to provide a new means for Malaysians to capture the world and all its colourful glory in its truest form, in order to tell a complete and interesting story,” said Nikki Chen, marketing director of Oppo Malaysia, during the Malaysian launch event.

“Furthermore, we believe colour is a source of inspiration for everyone. With the OPPO Find X3 Pro, you are your own director as it puts the power of pro filmmaking directly into your hands.”

The Find X3 Pro’s camera system is inspired by DSLRs. Most cameras on smartphones offer different sensors for each of their respective cameras. Not here on the Find X3 Pro – its main and ultra-wide cameras feature an IMX766 50MP sensor that Oppo has co-engineered with Sony.

This, the Oppo claims, can capture rich, billion-colour images and video. Rounding up to quad-camera setup is a 13MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 3MP macro camera. The latter in particular offers up to 60x magnification, which lets you get really, really close with a subject, Oppo said.

The screen is a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution, with 5 to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. This helps keep navigation and the viewing experience smooth while help save power. Sitting in a punch hole on the display is a 32MP selfie-shooter.

Powering the device is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset, which brings a 25% boost in performance and 35% improvement in rendering capabilities compared to its predecessor. The phone is equipped with vapour chamber cooling system to keep temperatures down. This also makes the Find X3 Pro a 5G device, supporting Dual-5G SIM cards.

In the Find X3 Pro is a 4,500mAh battery, with SuperVOOC 2.0 flash charging capable of providing it 40% of power in 10 minutes of charge. The device also supports 30W wireless charging, charging the device to 100% in 80 minutes. There’s also 10W reverse charging here, for when you want to share power.

Oppo also announced the EncoX, their first premium wireless active noise-cancellig earphones (co-created with Dynaudio). These earbuds adopts Oppo’s DEEB 3.0 dynamic enhancement system and supports LHDC codec for higher-end sound quality.

The EncoX is powered by a dual-core Bluetooth noise reduction chip, on top of hybrid active noise cancellation. Binaural low-latency Bluetooth transmission helps bring better stability, Oppo said. Navigation-wise, it offers touch controls to cycle through songs or turn on the noise-cancellation modes.

The OPPO FindX3 Pro is priced at US$1,036 (RM4,299), while the OPPO Enco X is priced at US$168 (RM699).
